it seemed like she didnt even want to play it in the first placeWait, did she really compare it to console shooters?Â

Yep, as did 90% of Killzone Mercenary, Uncharted Golden Abyss, and other big budget Vita titles' reviews do. It's a pathetic double standard that I found a wildly intelligent and amusing post on in GameFaqs, especially when using examples like Resident Evil Revelations on the 3DS where no comparisons exist.Wait, did she really compare it to console shooters?Â

Why not compare it to shooters on consoles? Sony has admitted their vision for their handhelds is to have a console experience on a portable device.
Oh wait... you're fanboys.
YOU IZ ANGREE!?! That's cute.

Because they're two different mediums of gaming. I just don't see the logic or fairness in comparing it to Killzone 3.
I don't see the big deal, the the Vita has more or less every control input the consoles do, the graphics are great, why NOT compare them? I don't want to play a shooter that's mechanically as sound as a PS1 game (not saying that about Killzone, just sayin') regardless of whether or not it's on a handheld. There's a certain level of spectacle you shouldn't expect from the handhelds but it's perfectly reasonable to expect them to have the mechanics nailed down.Wait, did she really compare it to console shooters?Â

Fundamentally and structurally, this is Killzone with a good use of the touchscreen and many of the series' past staples. Hell, I find it funnier she didn't comment on the campaign's length; that would be an issue worth complaining aboutWait, did she really compare it to console shooters?Â

Here's the real reason for 7.0:
The story is absurd; one character's development follows the most cliche arc imaginable, as she goes from peace envoy to the sort of cartoonish, megalomaniacal villain who shouts things like "Innocent lives are the price of peace!"GS
You lied to us, Blabs... it's clear the game got points docked for a highly offensive portrayal of women, they aren't allowed to be villains!

We need strong, independent and non-sexualized female protagonists, can't have evil women in games all of a sudden, they don't exist!

Wait, did she really compare it to console shooters?Â

It's $40
It's the Vita
Yes, I would expect the game to be on the same level as the console shooters. We have $7 games on the iOS and android app store which are almost console equivalent in production values and gameplay these days.
Essentially, the game is docked points because it's compared to console shooters. Blabadon
Gaems don' start @ 10 and get pointz dockt ho hum.Â
Game looks beautiful on the Vita screen and played a lot better than I thought it would in the beta. There are other games I plan to purchase but if I see a sale I may jump on this.Â
It's a shooter being judged on the standards(low ass ones apparently) of a shooter. Failing to see the problem. jg4xchampfrom the look of some of the comments some wanted it to be a 9.0 here
The problem here isn't woman. You fellows depend on IGN 9.5 amazing like it's oxigen. When a real reviewer with some standards comes along such as Carolyn Petit you throw baby bitch fits for no 9.5 amazing and come up with whatever bullshit reason you can to dismiss reality. Grow up please.

I would only expect that if system and games were the same price. Phone games while providing a good bang for the buck. Don't interest me without dedicated controls which can provide a better experience. Why would being on a handheld matter?
It's a game being judged against other games. It being the "best shooter on a handheld" doesn't mean it deserves an automatic 10. That's idiotic beyond comprehension. Being the "best shooter on a handheld" doesn't mean much if the game still falls flat.Â
